I use standard magician's white rope, you can use string for some effects.

I have the book since 90’s, in a compact small size. Is there any improvement in the actual version? Than you.

I've just got this book and as a newcomer to magic I think it's worth it's weight in gold. The amount of stuff it covers is huge and for a grounding in the basics I think I've done well for myself, and it only cost £3.50

I have quite small hands and found a £2 coin quite hard to learn with I would suggest a 10p or 2p

Remember, in coin magic just because the coin is big doesnt mean it is the easiest to practice with. I find a 10p best to practice with because it isn't too big or too small, people often have one and the edges are 'grippy'

Bet you wouldn't say that on the Hutch, in front of Michael Jay

Got to disagree with you. ( But you knew I would  )
Even if you feel some of the items might be "kid based", the techniques aren't, and are shown much clearer than other books.
