Cheapest Cards?

Postby The Last Deck on the Left » Jun 21st, '05, 11:04

Hi guys,

I know that this is an old thread (just been reading past posts) but I figured that prices change and there may be new stockists out there.

I'm getting really low on bikes :-( and need to order a few more. I was thinking of buying a 'brick' or a lot in bulk. Can anyone suggest a place with a good price?

Our Asda used to sell them, but I think it was a one-off, as they haven't had any in for ages. I also thought that the edges of the cards were slightly rougher, and they just didn't feel 'right'. Not sure it there was really any difference, or it was just in my head as they were only £1.49 a deck!!! Just out of interest, has anyone else noticed this?

Thanks guys.

(my last few post have all been questions - sorry! - but I've bought a few new products lately that haven't been reviewed, so I'll be returning the favours and telling you all about them!)

From the previous threads, ASDA seem to be a bit 'seasonal' about stocking Bikes so they may not always be available - even in the booze section where they are normally housed!

COSTCO are still the lowest I've heard of at about 90p a deck in sealed bricks if you know anyone who has a COSTCO card.

You can get Bike seconds from Magicbox at around 90p. I bought some fro Tear and Repair and any tricks with card signing. Can't see much wrong with them myself

Does Costco sell Tally-Ho decks?
Have never seen them on offer. The COSTCO policy is to only have one or two brands of any item on sale and one of those will usually be their own brand. As they don't do cards, there's just the one brand on offer and, thankfully, they're Bikes! As many may know, COSTCO are an American firm and the Bikes they sell are actually priced in dollars - about $13.95* or thereabouts - so are direct imports from the US of A.

*Correction, that price should be $13.49 per brick - sorry!

I'm just wondering, because i might be going for the first time this week. If Costco still sell Bikes and Mandrake I see that you live in Birmingham, and I live quite close to there, So just wondering which Costco do you go to?

The only problem with Costco is that you have to be a business member or something, dont you? My favourite place to buy them from is Magicbox. Hence the fact that ive got 14 new packs sitting on the table here and i have nowhere to put them! Damn C.U.P.S! The only problem is they look so nice in the plastic that i dont want to open them because i know that if i do i'll start folding or ripping or setting fire to them!

But yeah, seconds from magicbox are just as good as normal bikes but theyre cheaper. The only thing that i have noticed on any of them is that the printing of the court cards is slightly off. Nobody notices that though.

I was born with Multiple Personality Disorder. Luckily, they are all me, they just dont always get along...
