International Magic and Davenports are the two big ones - both have websites with addresses etc and I'm sure the guys from that part of the UK will be able to give you more details - have a good trip and welcome to the UK

Hey Rune

Have a great trip and you'll have to post the highlights when you get back.

Just visited Davenports for the first time the other day. It's actually in the tube station at Charing Cross.

Just been to both of the shops.
Unfortunately IM was closed, I might go back tomorrow, but, Devenport was open, and it was quite a nice shop. Best one I have been to. They had alot of stuff, and of course the guy behind the counter was pretty good with his card stuff as well, and managed to sell me a gimmicked trick. And that, that's pretty good, cause I am not a huge fan of those gimmicked trick. I will post it eventually here on TM. Anyway, they did not have the bicycles in ping and light blue, and that was too bad, since that was what I was going to buy.... So, I bought this gimmicked cards, a deck of black bicycle cards (my first non-red/non-blue ever) and also a roughing spray (still don't have a clue what I will use it for, but I have an idea of a new trick, where it might be handy).

For you magicians in London - why don't you do more street magic? I have not seen ONE street magician yet, and I have been walking the streets for 3 days, BUUH !! :)

Well, all the best from London....

I'm not 100% sure about this but I'm pretty certain that Jerry Sadowitz can be found in International magic Rune....see if you can get him to show you "Name a card triumph".. Ive read the method but always wondered how it looked for real

The only consistent street magic I've seen was in the Covent garden area and around Leicester Square (entertaining the film crowds earlier in the evening and then later at the north end).

There was an escapologist who used to work outside the Tower of London (West side near McDonald's) but not too sure whether he's stioll working the pitch.

Maybe hes still trying to escape from the Tower?
Or
He got too fat on McDonald burgers to escape from the bag?

Just a few dodgy thoughts, on a Monday morning.

Yeah, he can. I've seen Jerry Sadowitz in International a couple of times before. He showed me some nice card tricks.

I remember watching Jerry on the Pall Bearers Review many years ago (was it Channel4 or BBC2 cant remember)

One of the funniest guys I've seen on TV - and its a sin he's not on regular now.

Also, Montreal Comedy festival where he upset the Canadians and a guy came on and smacked him  Funny as hell

Swear words - magic - more swear words, great stuff
