I do mainly close-up magic but I'm looking for an effect that can be performed in front of 30-40 people, preferably surrounded. It must also be very portable, Ideally packing almost flat. I'd be interested to hear of your favourites that fit into this category. Thanks.

Hundeds of effects

Postby Spellbinder » Jul 19th, '05, 07:52

There must be hundreds of effects that fit this category. Any rope effects from cut and restored to professor's nightmare and beyond... most silk magic ... magic with super-sized jumbo cards ... mentalism ...newspaper magic...

In short, you need to tighten up your request a bit. What's the occasion? What categories of magic do you have experience with? What do you think you'd LIKE to do in that situation?

I'd recommend this for parlour but it is angle sensitive

I've had great results so far but the success is most definately in the presentation

It's not really an optical illusion - it just looks like one!

It depends on your budget. I like to do the swallowing an inflated balloon trick. Copentro Deluxe is very good (the one where the coins are tossed into a solid glass) but at £95.00 it may be too expensive.

How about doing some simple mentalism as well? you could learn those quickly and prices can be low. I also recommend Royal Fantasy, it is a good jumbo card trick that i do really well with
