So does anyone have an idea of Criss Angel's "levitation of a stranger" trick? He's boggled my mind.

Even if anyone does, they'll not disclose it. It's the ol' "Magicians Code", innit.
Why don't you ask Angel himself?

"levitation of a stranger"
Presumably that's different to "Levitation of a Friend or "Levitation of Someone I know very slightly as they use the same bus to work each day"?

It wasn't meant to.

jaime, he is taking the micky out of your request. In fact a request like that won't ever get a very good response on a forum like this.
"Hodge scored for Forest after 22 seconds - totally against the run of
play" (Peter Lorenzo)

Criss Angel's Mindfreak was a little disappointing to me... It was obvious he edited his videos

Couldn't agree more.

There is no other way his tricks could be done without editing his videos. I knew there would be camera tricks as soon as it didn't say, "There are no camera tricks in this show and we do not edit the tapes, so prepare to be amazed."
The tricks did look very good and were well done but video editing kind of messes everything up. That's just may opinion.

I like Criss Angel..Went to his Mindfreak show in NYC a few years back.
I was well impressed with his work for such a small venue.Loved the sci-fi theme, but needle thru arm,to me,seemed a bit out of place..
Great musician too and what's more,he took the time to greet everyone at the door on the way out.

If you look carefully at the girl (while people are raising her) you'll notice that her legs are crossed, right on left. But in the following frame, legs are left on right (or maybe it's left on right first? I don't remeber well, anyway her legs change position).

If you look at the girl that was picked out to levitate at the end you can notice that her baggy shirt is hanging down except for in one part. At that part her shirt is tight up against her body.

(Not sure if we should be concentrating so much on a girl's legs (ooo-er) or whether her baggy shirt is (gulp) tight against her body etc - but I'm very happy to go along with the idea and am way ahead of you all!)
I've only really watched one of the effects which Chris does and that's his version of Metamorphosis/Substitution Trunk which is very dark and gothic with lots of strangely garbed assistants of indeterminate gender posturing all over the place but there is no traditional curtain or screen to cover the switch. Someone fires of a couple of smoke pots and the change is done in that split second. A great example of taking a very old idea and giving it a brand new twist.

which tricks in particular cannot be performed live and were done using camera trickery?
i saw none of those in the first 4 parts of the series.
remember, criss angel has a good team of consultants (banacheck, johnny thompson) so the magic presented is very challenging and based on innovative methodology.
