Lack of computer tricks?

Postby DaveOrdref » Jul 23rd, '05, 17:21

I see there is a HUGE gap in this genre.

This (CyberMagic) made by Kevin Gough is the only thing I could Find

This (CompuMagic) was the first one but except for that page there is no other thing that says what this trick is all about.

I'm assuming it's the Mathematical Based 5 card trick which is also this site also does but is now gone for a while now.

I have coded something simmilar that will do the same thing. I just want to fix it a bit so I can make the computer add a little presentation to the program.

Another program that I found but haven't seen something MODERN or simmilar is a program which you chose from a list of eight and you guess which one of the eight has been chosen. I have done a program that does this.

But I do feel there is a lack of this and this is why I try to invent my own effects.

any comments?

You might want to check out Haim Goldenberg's Magic Interactive. It's a computer-based set of 12 magic tricks.

Some of the effects include mind reading, virtual cards, interactive magie, revelation effects, etc. I don't know exactly what or how it works, but you can find it on penguin magic, here.

It has a demo video, too.

Interesting topic this... So who are your spectators? Where do you work on your patter? How about rehearsals? What about reactions?

I see VERY little point in this magic - where's the job satisfaction?
