Here's a pretty useful little list of file upload sites you might want to use. For instance if your file is bigger than 10MB, you won't be able to use putfile.com, so you'll need an alternative.

However, I know for a fact that yousendit.com has two problems:

  1. It's not public; the link is sent by email.
  2. There is a limited number of downloads per file.


Personally, I think that Putfile is perfect and I can't see a video being over 10 MB...

Good point Kati.

Mind you, I have just recorded a short trick with my webcam, and it comes in at 11MB. I can compress that with WMM though.

yousendit.com does have a capped limit, I generally use it when sending videos to one or two people via PM. They can download it for themselves to their PC.

These are just alternatives for people to try. Putfile.com is very good, especially for those with fast connections.
