Hi everyone...

I would just like to share my good news with you all.
Last Wednesday 20th July I had an audition at the WCM. There were four of us who auditioned in a room full of other magish's, so it was very nervewracking.

I did my routine, which I had polished up quite nicely (I hope) and I was last to go. We were going to be told at the end of August, but the council had a meeting, and decided we all passed there and then

So, much more magic ahead, and I also got asked to do a rotary event, of which I'm completely pooing myself

I would recommend people, if they have a real interest, to contact the membership secretary of their local club, it is worth it, and everyone there made us feel welcome, and learning and practising there will be much better than practising in a mirror I believe

Richard Sanders was there this year, although I was soooo dissapointed that he was there before I joined, gutted! and there are some awesome names coming for lectures this year.

THanks Mandrake - I think that I'll drop them a line when I'm up in your nexk of the woods. Much better than sitting in a hotel on your own.

A group of us from TM were planning on visiting en masse for an event last year and the secretary, Bryan Atherton, was most helpful - despite wondering who the heck all these strange geezers were who suddenly wanted to come along!

Unfortunately the event itself was cancelled due to a change in circumstances so we didn't actually make it over there but Bryan's details are on the website and I'm sure he and the rest of the members will be happy to see you and possibly let you buy them a pint or two of Banks' best.

Banks', a great pint so I'll keep in touch with this one!

as Mandrake said, its is alternate wednesdays, but some other days included. Connaught Hotel on Tettenhall road is the meeting place.

You will - I usually stay at the Mount Hotel at Tettenahll Wood but due to holidays soon I'll next be in Wolverhampton towards the end of September. I'll check meeting dates with you for September and will try to make sure that my trip coincides with a meeting.
