Interesting Utterances

I'm looking for interesting or unique things to say when doing magic, things more interesting than "abracadabra." I'd like to hear your ideas.

I even purchased a book about witchcraft to get ideas for "incantations." The only useful thing I've come away with is:

This is my will.
I mote it be.

I just wish I knew what "mote" means as a verb!

Mote is an archaic form of may/might, I believe.

As for Magical phrases, I tend not to use these. I might make a gesture or two, or snap the fingers - but I rarely say anything along the lines of "abracadabra".

However, here are some suggestions -

Bim Sala Bim - Taken from an effect in one of the Card College Books

You could take some cues from things like Harry Potter - if certain effects deal with spells from the books, you could use the incantation words as your magic words (ie - incendio during a trick using fire). I haven't read the books, so I can't get into specifics - but that could work.

Those are my suggestions. Sorry I couldn't be a better help.

Okay, there's another one you cannot get away with at work, at least not where I work. :)
