Well, it's nice but I really don't like tricks where a magician's secret is revealed. Nobody even thinks of the fact that cards can have two faces, and I'd prefer to keep it that way. In the same way, I don't want to reveal a TT - it's a versatile gimmick and I'd prefer that people don't know about it.

Apart from that, the handling was very nice. I have one minor - MINOR - point, which was that at one point you flashed the face card, a 2D, then did a few cuts which left the 2D still on the face. Nobody would notice, I'm sure, but I'm picky.

Thanks for your comment.

About the reveal, I am not sure if I agree. I understand your concern, but if the effect is strong enough, that should be no problem. When I perform this trick, I add another patter to it, and I add the Ultra Smoke effect as well, as you probably know of, and pretend to take both of the cards and stroke/melt them together.

About the flash, yeah, I know, it's TINY, and in a real world again, where you have more body motion are able to move more, and don't have to think of that tiny camera angle, that's not a problem. I just didn't want to record just another version. A layman won't think of it anyway.

Thanks Kati !

Beautiful story, although I found it a bit too long and was thinking to myself "so when's the end?"

I don't have a problem with revealing a gaff card in an effect though - in fact, some years ago a girlfriend and I both met a magician and he did some close up magic for us - this was before I started studying magic, and he got us to sign the face of two cards in his deck - the next thing we know is that we've actually signed the same card (DF) on two sides.

My girlfriend loved it, and we had a special memento that not only had a memory and a bit of emotion from us attached to it, but it also means I'll never forget that magician again.

Zack,

that's what I do normally as well. I have to specs sign the card. I just place the card on the table, and they sign it, and I place it back into the deck myself. I found this trick very strong. The response I get on this, is great, and even though you say it's long, it will always feel like that on a video. When you perform live, you have a total other involvement in the trick, and for me, I get to speak Norwegian :) Damn, I hate focusing on English AND Magic at the same time ;-)

Nice use of the Ballet Cut, Rune!

I'm going to have to say this particular effect isn't my favorite, but it definitely works well when you perform it for a couple.

Which is exactly the thing that I believe eliminates the suspicion of the DF'er, as Katriel pointed out. I've made sure to perform this on couples who seem to be very happy - having a good time, laughing, enjoying each others' company. These kinds of spectators are perfect for this effect.

It's a trick that takes on a whole different level, because they allow themselves to be pulled into the story, and allow themselves to believe in that idea of fate. Quite literally - every finish is accompanied by the couple kissing, laughing - whatever. Not once have they said "Hey - what's with the double card?"

Job well done, Rune. As usual.

I have no issuses with the DF'er as the laymen will swear that they signed two different cards which is part of the magic of this effect.

I'd agree that it was just a fraction too long and it's alittle spoiled by other 'killer' effect that you've posted. We're just too spoilt by your video clips

Despite this, it was superbly executed as usual

Have you seen Richard Turner's double-signed card routine? Here's a link to where you can see it:

Unique guy, unique talent, and I believe he is registered blind (correct me if I'm wrong here)

Great routine by the way Rune. I have enjoyed watching all the vids you have posted on here.

Cheers,
