Does anyone know any good books or websites with good card and coin sleights. I have just started magic and do know a couple of self working tricks but would like to learn some sleights that would help me.

The Mark Wilson Complete course in Magic covers everything from basic card / coin material through to illusions. The Bobo coin book is used by many people.

That was quick!

Reminds me of the one about the guy who called tech support and wanted to know how to download the internet onto a floppy.

You are on the right path. My advice is, do and learn some more slef working tricks. The following books will help:

Self Working Card Tricks
Self Working Coin Tricks
Self Working Rope Tricks
Self Working Mental Magic
Self Working Hankercheif Magic
Self Working Table Magic

All of these books (and more of course) are by Karl Fulves. You may want to invest in them. As far as I remember, they costed about $9 from Amazon.com. Try searching for them on Amazon UK also, I am sure you will be able to get them.

After you have spent time on these books, then you can get some of the following books

Mark Wilson's Course in Magic

Amature Magician's Handbook

Royal Road to Card Magic
J. Jugard

Expert Card Techniques J. Hugard

Modern Coin Magic J. Bobo

The last three are books which focus on one branch of magic. The first two on cards, and the last one on Coins. I am sure they will keep you busy for a long long time.

Spend about a few years on these books, and then you can go into more tougher stuff.

Remember, dont feel that you have to become a skilled working in 1-2 years. Magic is best learnt when learn over a long period of time. Then you start valuing the principals of magic

Good luck!
