I have XB and have seen Showoff with cards - there is no comparision between the two really, XB is a vastly superior product.

Showoff with cards was universally panned when it was released by the flourish community. The teaching sucked. It even featured moves from De'Vo without his permission!

Flourish is a hot area right now and there is lot of rushed c*** (not the best) out there to capitalise on it's popularity. Don't waste your money on c*** (not the best) like Showoff with Cards.

Cradle to Grave
XB
Dan and Dave System
Cobra (if you like that one cut!)

This is the best stuff out there right now.

Yes, I have been banned from the Ellusionist forum...
Chris Schuh at Ellusionist confirms the situation as well as the banning of user name and IP address so perhaps everyone should know that we're keeping an eye on things.

I think his name's George Orwell. Not Orwells.

Probably the most overlooked details by any young, arrogant, spoilt, selfish, gobby magicians today. Especially those aged 15 looking to make life hell for others by using the anonymity of the internet to build a false persona and feed their hunger for power and p***ing people off.

Good job we don't come across any of those types on this forum...

Yo Zack...maybe it's time to take some ProZack. Take a chill pill. And how do you spell SPOILED?...

Does anyone here have the testicles (my apologies to the moderators) to bash the Xtreme Beginnerz dvd on the Ellusionist forum? If you do, you'll be banned...because Ellusionist has a contract with De'vo's company and any criticism is bad publicity. Way to go Ellusionist!

It's not a matter of having balls - most people here will not be in the sleightest bit interested in this DVD and won't therefore post negative comments about something that they haven't bought and seen for themselves.

Those who are into flourishes will most probably find the DVD meets their needs as a reference source and learning tool, based on their skill level, which I would assume to be beginner to intermediate level, hence their reason for buying this title.

I would suspect that your last post is based purely on assumption.

There is some criticism about XB on Ellusionist, but it's very constructive and not in the least bit offensive, unlike 'laurent's comments.

Most people who bought XB actually want to learn the stuff featured on the DVD's. I don't think anyone has bought it just on a whim. $40 is a lot to spend on something you don't want.

De'vo put so much into this DVD, as he did with his others, I don't think some people realize how much input he has. Just watch the credits to see how much he contributed... filming, editing, composing, producing, the list goes on.

I'll take this opportunity to thank laurent for his, ahem, 'constructive' PM's to me, and wish him well for the future...

:)

I spell it spoilt.

I'd like to see Laurent69 banned from talkmagic. The sooner we lose rude and obnoxious members of the forum, the better.

Links provided for spelling and definition as I wouldn't want anyone to embarrass themselves by incorrectly pointing out an error.

And on that note we draw the line, but no conclusions, and lock the topic for the time being.

Update @ 24th August:

Just FYI, there's no point in responding to Laurent69, in view of the offensive message posted yeterday, he's been banned - like he was from the Ellusionist Forum.
