Forcing Bag

Postby mentalismuk » Aug 19th, '05, 07:53

Is anyone able to reccommend a decent transparent forcing bag - any that I have seen marketed appear (to me) to be a little too gimmicky or false. Ort can anyone give some direction as to the best one to make one for myself?

Thanks

Jay Sankey produces a clear close-up switch bag. Personally, I don't use it often, but it's pretty good. It's sturdy and looks convincing, even close up.

They can be made easily from those filing pockets for holding A4 paper. Just need to cut one up and use inside of the other one.

Clear force bag (£5.00) the size is A4. I got a copy of Eddie's catalogue, but you should be able to order via email. He does a nice forcing beaker too

You may want to see this thread that reviews Osterlinds Transparent Force bag/manuscript.

Also, Duane Laflin sells a transparent force bag as part of his silk bunny routine...

the best I have ever used... I had to wait a long time which wasn't very professional, but it is nice quality.

I guess it's safe to assume that unless they specify otherwise, these bags are all two-way? I'm investigating three-way bags, at the mo and am pondering over the Top Secret Magic cheapy option.

The cheap transparent forcing bags I bought from Magicbox are all three way - if by that we mean that you can have two forced selections as well as a random convincer.

Was thinking more of three random selections, but from three separate selections of tickets.

In the stationary section at Wilkinson’s you will find some plastic document wallets with a zip fastening which are perfect for making force bags from. The plastic is thick but soft, the way that the sides are held together helps to disguise any telltale lines that might be seen, the zipper section running along the from has coloured plastic mounting which again helps to provide cover for anything that shouldn’t be seen, you can make them to your requirements so there can be as many different forces as you need (2 way, 3 way etc), they’re cheap as the proverbial fried potato, readily available and come in different sizes. The biggest advantage that I have found with them is that if I was carrying a load of tickets or pieces of paper around with me, this is EXACTLY the item that I would use so it doesn’t raise any undue attention or suspicion, which leaves me free to get on with the dirty work!
