I found this magician called Jesse Feinberg o magicvideodepot.com and he has a few tricks involving pens which he is now selling (or will be soon). I'm sorry to be the one to say this but i think the cigapen and magicap look obvious as to the workings and only work as well as they do on camera, in front of a group or even a single person there would be angle problems. dont get me wrong on the vids they are performed well but these just seem too obvious for me

I've seen it hyped elsewhere, but have seen comments citing dissapointment also.

Well from watching the video clip of the magicap, and guessing that the cig to pen uses the same method, I have to say I still like the look of it.

I think we do have to remind ourselves quite often that what is obvious to us is NOT at obvious to laypeople, and unless you are planniing to preform soley for magicians I would say that magicap especially looks like a great real world piece.

Yes, it was obvious to me how it worked, but I also thought that about Ron Jaxon's outsmokin', which I still get truly great reactions from. These effects for me are nothing short of real world magical. Yes you will need to practice with it so it ISNT obvious, but then we should always practice with everything. I am willing to bet that if you showed the video clip to most laypeople (and certainly more than a few magicians) they would have no idea how it is achieved...

Just imagine (why did that make me think of Sankey?) for a moment a routine with outsmokin', then "cig to pen", then magicap. In fact there are numerous possibilities.

Magicap really looks like a worker to me. Maybe as a filler, but I reckon it would also be a good table opener too...

I agree it looks excelent, I think im going to get that, I think i know how it works, but i dont see how it can be the same as cig to pen, i could think of one way to do cig to pen but that would involve something that it says at the start it doesnt use

ok - now I have watched a clip of the cigtopen - I agree. unlikely to be the same method. but didn't it look sweet?

I would love to answer any questions about any of my effects, etc... Here are a few things that I am VERY excited about mentioning:

1. Cigapen and Magicap are completely examinable. Magicap will immediatly come set... Cigapen owners should email me asap about how to make this effect TOTALLY examinable. In both effects you can hand out the SAME pen anytime you want, with out any switches or hard/strange moves. This is totally straight forward. I am really excited to share this with existing customers! Email proof of purchase (a quote/method info) and I will hook you up asap.

2. Magicap will be out on monday. It will start shipping that day. Most pre-orders will have there order before friday. I am really releaved that this is finally coming out.
