Wallet is a real effect, it should work with a greater percentage then 50%, the technique is quite old.

Db's best trick is convincing everyone that what he does is achieved by things like NLP.

He is truly a master of presentation (and we all know how important that is)

Is that site MikeJ linked (http://www.magicseduction.net/) entirely legal? It sounds as if it might be effects taken from other people's books, and that date revelation effect sounds like the one from Derren's Pure Effect...

Anybody have any further info on this site?

Yes, I totally agree. Explaining away his methods as being based on psychology and NLP adds an extra level of misdirection. Most people are satisfied by his explanation and don't look into them any further. It's pure genious.

Even though I'm into magic, I was convinced for a while that there was a lot of NLP in his routines. After having seen his latest live show three times (taking different friends along each time) I've managed to work out all the routines (apart from the buttons that I'm still a little unsure about but have a theory) and it's kind of a relief to know he's as normal as the rest of us.
