Hi, im 1011. But you can call me 1011. Or just call me the decimary equivilant.

By the way, you can only copyright your tricks name and the exact routiene. (If I am up to par on my copyright laws). You cannot copyright an idea, only something concrete. This is why there is such a large issue with music these days. Is a song an idea or something concrete? Does that mean you can just copyright the disk it comes on? Or the exact wave form? So if the waveform then wouldnt you have to copyright each version of the song individually?

You see the delima. Thats why so many people are stealing tricks and selling them cheap cheap cheap. (Check out ebay and type in "derren brown". You will be able to buy multiple ebooks for under a pound)

Anyway, hope this helps.

Hmmm ... in a close group of songwritters ... the way we copyright all of our material is writing it down and recording it, once you have this master set post a copy to yourself and dont open it, it i will be post marked with a date.

This way, if the issue ever came to the courts, unless the other party could prove they devised the material themselves before that date then they will not win a legal dispute.

As an addition to what sir rawlins has mentioned above, having also played in bands, you can put a stamp over the seal of an envelope, so it will be post marked over that.
