Struggling with an effect? Any tips (without giving too much away!) you'd like to share?

This seems to be a fairly new release.

This is a slight warning to beginners. Magictricks.co.uk describe this trick as "so easy it is almost self working"

Based on this I bought this trick and can tell you that it is certainly not the case. You will need to have read and be able to perform quite a few different shuffles and sleights from The Royal Road To Card Magic book (for example) before being able to perform this.

It certainly sounds like a good effect but I guess it will be sitting in my draw for a while until I learn a few moves.

Just though I'd pass it on as it is easy to assume from the magictricks.co.uk website that an almost total beginner could perform this. It rates the difficulty at 2. I have several other tricks of this difficulty which I can perform ok so this one must be higher difficulty than that.

Yeah one of the problems with the blub on magic dealers is it is often inaccurate. One of the reasons that forums like this can be so useful is that you can usually get more honest appraisal of an effect. As long as you take into account that everything is a matter of opinion and gradually learn who on the forum you can trust to give an objective account and it should make life much easier.
