In my opinion, Tricky TV is definately worth watching and I would never want to miss it.
It's really good because you get to see how some of the tricks are done!
There are also wicked wind ups which are fantastic.

Ha ha! Just wondering why you'd ask if it was a good show, when you can't even get home to see it anyway?! Talk about torturing yourself!

Its a glorified exposure show.
Last week spent time on the ash on palm trick.

you're like Yoda.you dont say much, but what you do say is worth listening to....

Were you on one of the episodes when he did magic tricks in Thorpe park?

Personally, I don't think it's that great.

I record it for my dad, but each trick can easily be worked out.

For example, he drives a car through a tunnel, which before hand you see has no-one or nothing inside it. Then they talk for about 5 minutes, then they start the trick.

Just out of interest Joe Pasquale is on it this week - yaay!!
So i'll wacth it this week, think i've seen it once before, it's what you'd expect from a kids show though. I agree with the post in another topic, that Mulhern should get a Saturday night audience (but that's another topic - somewhere).

I think Jack Osbourne is on today because Joe Pasquale was on last week.
The TV magazine has got it mixed up.

Because it's fun fun fun fun to watch. Stephen doesn't expose all the tricks anyway.

In regards to exposure.

Does it really matter that much if some people know how the ash ends up on someones palm, or how to do ambitious card? Ive done tricks on people here in canada, and people have told me that they know exactly how its done, but commented how smoothly i did it.

In my opinion, mild exposure doesnt harm the art, but helps drum up some intrest in it. In fact, i got interested in it when i was told the secret to ambitious card.

Anyways, its not like theyre exposing really incredible effects or anything, and even if they were, just because someone knows how its done, doesnt mean that a good performer cant trick them with it.

lol. I don't want to continue the whole exposure debate again, but that made me laugh out loud. Do we really do magic just to be told "wow - you did that really smoothly"?

I know certainly don't.

I would argue that ambitious card IS an incredible effect. I would even argue that when presented well, cut and restored rope IS an incredible effect. So I think any exposure on TV is not good for the art...
