I did read, allbeit some time ago that his next stunt involved jumping from a helicopter.

I'm not too sure if he'll get the interest that he once had? I was talking to some people recently and David Blaine came up in conversation and I was surprised that most people in the conversation don't remember him for his magic but as a publicity seeking stuntman.

I think he should look at joining the American Screen Actors Guild, and "take up a career in acting"..........or should I say, "further his career in acting!"

It always makes me laugh thinking about David Blaine doing nothing in a box for hours on end... He got all that attention when Sol Campbell's been doing it for years!

I know it's an oldie, but I love it...

He is working on another magic show from what I hear.

"Hodge scored for Forest after 22 seconds - totally against the run of
play" (Peter Lorenzo)

His website has recently undergone some major changes - so I think he's probably preparing himself for a grand appearance back into the limelight. I heard it was scheduled to be on Hallowe'en. Can't remember the exact details.

I remember reading that he had been chauffering the writer and Holocaust survivor, Toivi Thomas Blatt, around to different readings and seminars in America (or maybe it was just NYC). Blaine had read his book 'from the Ashes of Sobibor' and found it to be so inspirational that he wanted to meet and help the man who wrote it. A kind of humble respect, I assume, for Toivi Blatt's display human endurance.

Ive read the book - it is, as with all books written from a Holocaust survivor's perspective, humbling.

After reading this type of literature you always feel like a spoilt, rich, lucky and moaning waste of space.

actually.. i was thinking of like switching with a stunt man half way tru and going into a nice warm room ready to switch back when its time to get out.. cos no one can survive that, and the switchover can eisily be accomplised using mirrors, expecially in ice.

plus i watched breaking the magicians code and a guy did it that way.

:(

I Think you might be under estimating the capabilities of the human body, there are some incredible stories of survival under extreme conditions.
