Stopping watches

Struggling with an effect? Any tips (without giving too much away!) you'd like to share?

This is vaguely reminiscent of a case in Australia where a Chemisty professor got off a indecent exposure charge after claiming a combination of proximity of young girl student, the alluring scent she was wearing, forgetfulness in doing up of the zip and rampant intumescence.

Your case is an open and shut one, don't think you've got anything to worry about!

Just wondering, which method is best for stopping a watch?

M5 or The bat?

There's an expression in Yorkshire that says"she's so ugly her face could stop a watch!". If this is true then the best way to stop a watch would be to have an ugly assistant I suppose! Totally undetectable and the misdirection potential (it's hard to take your eyes of an ugly person, I know 'cos everyone watches me!) is amazing.

Seriously though, M5 is a better finished product but is more expensive and the Bat is a cheaper option so I think the question is what can you afford? There appears to be more versatility in M5 because you get more but both are the same only different (price matters). A good trick but one that an be quite easily sussed in part if done badly (that need to do a trick before it has been so practiced that it is second nature) and I have come across watches (usually expensive) thatdon't want to return to the world after their heart has stopped (always an invitation to customer disatisfaction).

So your choice really - how much you got to spend?

HTH,

Vic

stopping watches

Personally I use a small neo...magical thingy in the end of a TT (held in place with a bit of sponge) on the 4th digit.

I get them to take their watch off and hold it between my hands & it will stop & start at their command.

I hope that's not too cryptic ?

a small neo...magical thingy
could also be referred to as a small neo-aardvark. Most people will know what you mean!
