Welcome to TM Georgina, as vic_vdb says, we don't always agree with each other but we'll certainly try to be friendly and constructive about it!

Hi Georgina

Welcome to TM.

You can learn a lot here, there are great reviews if you are thinking of buying a particular trick.

A word of warning though. You will find it hard not to spend money once you start reading the reviews!

Hi Georgina, and welcome to TM.

I just wanted to recommend one purchase that you may want to look at if you are just starting and want to learn some card magic. You may have noticed that I recommend this DVD a lot but it really is excellent for a beginning cardician.

Born to Perform Card Magic, by Oz Pearlman

It has everything, from the right way to hold the deck to pinky breaks to flourishes to entire effects.

Take a look ;).
