that cool, wehere do you buy the stacking stuff? and comment, i think you should try to speed it up, by not picking up one and shaking it more, i mean i know what you are doing while you are shaking it, but just do it faster....i think dice stacking is pretty cool, and you did it very well imo.. there is a guy on www.21ace.com where he did a dice stacking vid...but you can search i dont know where taht link is (sorry) so...GOOD LUCK!

Pretty good Will but does this have a practical application other than a display of skill (which some specs find annoying for some reason  )

Also on the second stack the two bottom dice stayed together rather than stacking straight up. Was this a slip up ?

Yea, that was a slip up but I wanted to keep it in anyway. The second and third stacks are the same method but the third one is right.

And yes, this is just a demonstration of skill and if "the spectators" find it annoying, tough. I'm betting that 99.999% of spectators have never seen something like this before and while I aggree that demonstrations of skill from a magician can detract from a performance, I feel this is an exception because it is more a flourish than magic trick. When I show people this, that's all I show them. There's no magic involved.

PS What do you mean by "Practical Application"? The practical application is that you have somehow managed to stack four dice whilst in a swinging cup.

I meant within an actual routine when performing to spectators rather than just a demonstration of skill.
I suppose it could be a nice introduction to a dice routine. Daryl does one on one of his vids. I will have a quick look through my collection and get back to you as to which one it is. :D

It is on Daryl's Fooler Doolers Volume 3.
There is a four dice version of chink-a-chink where the dice travel in numerical order. There are no extra dice used either !
If you do not have this then I strongly recommend you get it (if only for this one routine)
I can see a whole dice act in the making !

It's pure skill, no gimmicks. Having said that it took me a few minutes to get the basic idea down and then the rest of the day to come up with new ideas and "stacks". I filmed that video about half an hour after my first Four Stack.

Hodgkinson, thanks for the ideas but I have no intention of ever doing magic before or after a dice stacking routine. Besides, I've already got a skeleton idea for a 10 minute Dice Stacking routine, based purely on stacking demos.

Will,

Well done on the video.

This has intrigued me to the point where I wouldn't mind learning this for myself (something to show off with down the pub!)

Anyway, could you recommend a good learning source for dice stacking?

Many thanks,

In all honesty Mark, I can't personally recommend a good resource for Dice Stacking because I was pretty much taught how to do this. However, my Dice Stacking mentor has suggested I look up a few resources so if you don't mind second hand information, I'll be happy to pass them on to you. I'll PM them to you asap.

why not just post them here?

Because I had to go and get them from an email, come back and then let him have them. It was just as easy to send a PM than to post here.
