Funny what drugs/alcohol can do in terms of insomnia and insanity.

:D:D:D
I take your quote as it was (I hope!) intended.
Insomnia ... noooooo! When most finish work, then I start. After their bad day at work I hope to make them happy and live in a world of fantasy for a couple of hours.
Insanity ... nooooo! .. (Well maybe a bit but harmless)
Drugs/Alcohol ... nooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!! If I had those I would be ten times worse.
A serious bit (just this once). When you go to a theatre or watch a film or any show, do you want real life (have you noticed that people in Coronation Street do not go to the toilet or even have one?) or do you want to be transported into a larger than life world of fantasy and excitement.
I am old(ish) and have held (with gratitude) many audiences. To those young people especially who are here and looking to entertain with magic I simply say "believe". "But it's all tricks" you say "teach me". I can't teach tricks, I also need to learn. What I can strongly suggest is that, if you don't believe in magic and fantasy and wonder and see things with child-like amazement - you can't expect your audience to. I often live in a fantasy world because that is where my audience wants to be. Kryzal x
