There's a few of us on here who love Mr Sadowitz's shows, so I think I'll be off to this one too.

A word of warning... he's a moody blighter, so don't ask him for an autograph as I did once and he said he doesn't do that kind of thing. Artistic license I guess.

Also, don't tell him you're a magician. I was at a show once that he wouldn't start because there was a magician in the audience. He waited until the guy left before he started.

He's one of the most skilled cardician's I've ever seen. If he only realised that people like me, and other magicians, love to watch someone who has complete mastery of their art. We're not going to criticise, or pick holes, we're just going to sit there and watch with everyone else.

Yeah - I've heard many stories first hand about Jerry's behaviour towards customers at International Magic.

To some - nice as pie, to others well - lets just say things were thrown!

Personally I've been in a few times and he was very helpful.

He's fantastic in IM whenever I've been in.

It's his persona when he's performing that is dodgy sometimes... a little tempremental at times!

Am really glad to hear he is doing another show as have never managed to see him live but have been a fan ever since seeing the roy walton moment on one of his TV shows.
By the way if you admire Jerrys card mastery then another guy who I think is amazing is Micheal Vincent, I saw him up close at the first and I think last Marvin s Magic weekend at the barbican many many years ago. He was both very kind and welcoming as well as performing some amazing card magic. If anyone out there hears of any shows he maybe doing would definitely be interested.
Cheers
Paul

A brief review of Sadowitz's show last night

Postby jackofhearts » Nov 12th, '05, 19:07

Hi Guys,
Saw Jerrys show last night and would certainly recommend it! Though be warned he fits more f***s into an hour than a busy brothel!

The show begins with the classic cups and balls which perfectly sets the tone for the next hour, as he perfectly combines the cleanest handling, with the dirtiest patter you could ever hope to see! From here we move through a few packet type tricks (including the brilliant twisted sisters) the flow of which are explained as a warm up before the introduction of a full deck which I felt a great idea and highlighted Jerrys meticulous attention to routining which can easily be overlooked due to his seemingly meandering style.

More immaculate handling of both cards and the odd heckler followed, as well as the odd trick with sponge balls and rabbit poo!!

The only negative thing I would say is that I felt the ending was a bit weak, especially as on this night it didn't quite go as planned!

Overall though this is a great show and though his comments do sometimes border on offensive and outrageous I would still recommend you all go and see it!

Enjoy
Paul

Went to see Jerry last year, and would recommend it highly. The only thing stopping me this year is the 11pm start time. I cant get back home on the train in time, and cant afford to spend a night in town. :(
