OK I have heared it's "out of stock", or taken off the market, for different reasons, and that there are workarounds for this.

Anyway, I don't believe it's "off the market", because, this is a liquid, which some chemical supplier must be able to sell to professionals.

Really noone with that knowledge around here? Doh....

if i remember correctly this was taken off the market because the liquid was discovered to be either toxic or carcinogenic. its a pity i cant actually remember where i saw it.... if i remember i'll let you know

I think the liquid is toxic...but on the basis of a quick Google, there seems to be another way which is to use the foil of a Big Red stick of gum...if you wet it and then stick it on some hapless victim's skin somewhere there is supposed to be a chemical which irritates the skin...

Yes, this was taken off the market because I belive it used mercury. It's very dangerous to expose skin to mercury, and can lead to mercury poisoning. Does that 'Big Red' method actually work? I've tried out things like ground cinnamon and ginger, but with no success. If there's any chemical minded people around here, I'd love to know if you can think of anything that would give out heat when exposed to water (an exothermic reaction?).

I would never care to use the red hot version, it's too much of a hassle.... the original is so great. there must be a way to check this out. i am trying to contact some chemical dudes.... something must react with foil....

Lithium, sodium, potassium, and caesium (and possibly others in the same group) all give off heat when exposed to water :D:D:D. (Of course, that's because they burst into flame ;)).

According to page 499 of the recently deceased Ormond McGill's "New Encyclopedia of Stage Hypnotism", what you're after is this stuff.

You give the subject a ball of silver paper, suggest that you're influencing him to feel it warming, and it starts to do just that.

OhH i see, Could not just use that sports stuff ... buy it in a big can, think they do both a spray and a cream, like Vic or Vapo Rub type of thing, only without the smell.

It would have to be 100% odour-free, especially in a hypnotic induction, because you're after the subject noticing changes while in an extremely focused state, so anything suspicious, or familiar but with an incongruous explanation, is going to alert the critical faculty and pull them out again.

Yeah, that wouldn't work. What they used earlier (what's the name of it again), was crystal clear, you just needed a few drops on your fingers to smooth on the foil, and it heated up like /&%!&!%. There must be a way to find that product :)

Btw, the link information on Mercury(II) chloride (which i believe is the stuff they used) is pretty informative, but also sounds scary. Bug again, hello, we are not gonna inhauler, drink og inject the stuff, we are just gonna add some stuff on a foil, tiny tiny tiny ammounts... How dangerous could this be?
