Ive read that people on this forum get decks of bicycle cards for less than a pound

That is, you can buy Bike decks in a brick of 12 at Costco - they work out at about 89p each.
You can also buy Bike seconds from MagicBox, which cost 99p a pack. They may have some minor quality problems but on the whole they are mostly good.

Costco are a US enterprise so you might find one near to you - there are other US companies doing the same sort of thing where you buy an annual membership and then can buy goods almost at wholesale prices. Failing that, how about Wall-Mart? They own the UK Supermarket chain called ASDA and that’s where some of the TM members have seen Bikes on sale – usually in the booze aisles!

PS check out http://www.costco.co.uk/Membership_home ... ership.htm for details of Trade Memberships. Costco don't issue membership cards to individuals so it would have to be in the name of a bona fide firm or other organisation.
