Sorry, I just remembered another one from last night.

I was doing my version of Dr Daley's Last Trick with two guys. They were really nice guys and really up for a good time. When I came to reveal that the two aces in my hand change places with the aces in his I asked him "Sorry, I've forgotten; which cards did you have?" (with a little bit of a cheeky grin  ) and he started laughing saying,

"Oh no, you didn't. You didn't. You didn't! (he peeked inside his hands) AHHHHHHH! You did! I hate you!!"

It was probably the best reaction I had all night, we just sat there laughing about it.

All the best,

Will Wood

I am always careful if I am going to perform The Web - for obvious reasons.

One night, in one of the restaurants I work, I had been going down a storm at this table. There were three adults and three teenage kids who were lapping it up. I thought to finish my set I'd do The Web for some big reactions.

When the girl turned her hand over at the climax, everyone at the table reacted apart from this one older woman who had been picking at the left-overs on her plate. When she heard the noise, she looked around the table to see what all the fuss was about. When the penny dropped and she saw the spider on the back of the girl's hand who was sitting next to her, she screamed and stabbed herself up the nose with her fork. There wasn't too much blood, thankfully, and she did see the funny side, but I am even more careful now about who/when and where I do this effect!

My auntie did that, except I changed them into Jacks. How funny is it :D

Just out of interest, and totally off topic, were you doing the "2 Card Monte" effect?

I love those sort of Transposition/Magical change effects, especially when they happen in the spectators hands. I think they can get some of the strongest reactions possible. It is very true that magic is strongest when it happens in the spectators hands. Something all close up workers should bare in mind

Yip :D
