I have to say I agree with this advice whole-heartedly. I've been trying to do the Invisible Pass (as taught by Brad Christian on Ninja 1) but I just cannot get it fast enough or invisible enough. However, a fellow magi (an actual working professional) showed me how he does his pass and it was so good I thought I'd try it his way. Can't remember his exact technique now (a week later) but I've got a version that I'm getting pretty good at. It seems to be a mix of the Hermann Pass and the Turnover Pass without the turnover (even though that probably doesn't make sense). I'd definitely start with the Hermann or the Turnover pass, they're definitley the easiest to get to grips with and keep the moves hidden from view.
