I want to know how to spin a card around in my hand betweenn my fingers (sorry about the bad descriptionn) and also learn the Le Paul Spread but i think thes are always taught in beginers material. I normally know 99% of the other things taught. Does Anyone know a REALLY CHEAP book that includes these two flourishes

much appreciated

hmmm, i didn't really go out to look for these tricks, the dvds that i bought and the instant dls i bougt from penguin (eek) teach you most of these things. i know Born to Perform teaches the lepaul spread and i forgot where i learned that spinning thing (well i never really got it down...)

?!~

For crying out loud, the msn button under my name is to talk about magic with me, NOT A FREE MAGIC GIVEAWAY LINK. dont abuse it

Spinning the card through the fingers is pretty basic, to be honest, and you just practice until you can do it - dont you? The same as spinnig a pen - i'd say.

I would suggest Xtreme Beginners which is available from Ellusionist. I'm sure otheres recommend it too.

It contains Jeff McBride's Salamander Combo, which uses the spinning the card round the fingers and an around the world combo.
It also teaches a spread that is (allegedly) better than the LePaul spread.

It is more expensive than a cheap book - and you would have to factor in postage to the UK, but it is worth it saving for.

Wouldn't say that it is EASY. Because, it's not. But, it's easy when you learn it, but that goes for everything. When you learn the basic grip, you will try around 1000 times before you have it 100%. And you will go nuts of picking up the card from the floor ;) But again, it's a VERY nice flourish. It took me a while to understand how it was performed, as I never have seen this on a DVD or something. Then, a magician friend of mine, showed it to me, and then I figured it out. It was all about one mal-positioned finger.

Thanks for these suggestions but I know everything else on Born to Perform and other beginner's material. i prpobably would not class my self as a beginner. so, for, obvious resons, i don't want to paying £16.00 for something like Born to Perform just for one flourish.

If you're into little flourishes like that, i second the recommendation made by Jing of Xtreme Beginners dvd available from the Ellusionist website (here). It features the simple spinning the card round the fingers, and also the double version of that where two cards spin round the fingers at the same time! But that not all, theres a serious ton of stuff on those dvds that makes it well worth the money!

I was born with Multiple Personality Disorder. Luckily, they are all me, they just dont always get along...
