I think all Cyril's tricks are original and not published.

Well, I think he uses the same version as if it was a coin, but would be nice to know if he has thought of any new version.... if not, i would love to get one of those gimmicked caps...

Yeh. The first time he does it he picks up a "random" bottle off of the ground if I can remember correctly.

Well yes, but there shouldn't be a problem doing a switch... even though, IF there is a switch, you need to switch to a cap that suits the bottle, and then, how can this be impromptu...

the same way that david blaine seemingly picked up a beer can that had left lying on the grass next to some folks having a picnic

My requirements for such a routine are:

1: It should look like a borrowed cap is being used (meaning, a switch is ok)
2: Cap should suit bottle, meaning, any bottle can be used (and the cap should suit this bottle)
3: Cap should go into the bottle

Anyone know a version that fulfill all these?

I've been playing around with empty beer bottles today and think I may have come up with a routine that will work well but there is some setting up which means it cant be done impromptu but will appear as if it is.
Sorry if this sounds a little confusing. I will PM you my routine to see what you think Rune.

I had a long think about 'cap in bottle' effects after reading this thread and I've come up with something. Although the way I thought up takes alot preparation, but it works well (I made one today). Now the way I though that it could look like a regular bottle is to have your pre prepared bottle (full of coke or whatever) then just go into a shop and pretend to buy a bottle of coke. Drink it casually then do the trick at the end as if you've just thought of it just then.

Oh I just thought. Are you tinking of a glass bottle version or a plastic bottle?

Anyhow by the looks of things, I think his version is quite similar to the Abyss coin in bottle (if that works how I think it does!)
