This is a triumph that I just learned. Let me know what you guys think. I messed up one of the shuffles at the end, I know.

Play it Straight - one of my favorite effects. You did a nice job with it, but there are some minor little touches you can put in to make it seem even more powerful.

1 - Shuffling. Handle the cards more BEFORE you start the effect. The way you presented the effect makes it seem like there's a setup of some kind. The selection is supposed to seem random and free - but the fact that you pull a card so close from the top seems sneaky.

Try working in some shuffles and cuts to make everything seem more natural and off the cuff. Also, cut your stock into the center and try working up a classic force. As you know, you have plenty of cards to work with, so your technique doesn't need to be perfect - just good enough to make sure they get one of the necessary cards.

Another advantage of cutting the stock to the middle, is that it makes the "stacks" seem more random when you pull from "anywhere" This way, you go back through the deck, cut the first card to the top and pull your first stack from there. The rest of the effect is all about presentation and the ability to really sell the idea that you forgot to take the selection back.

Again, just minor touches. Keep working on this one. This is an effect that will serve you well for many years to come. Great job!

First a kind off important message - you should be very careful using copyright music on your videos. I am not sure Beatles would like this very much....

Secondly, you should work on your card handling, like the shuffles and cuts. Get that more smooth and your trick will raise to another level.

Thirdly, good work, keep it up mate.

Finally, I find the trick a bit slow....

PS - get yourself a mat/pad, that will easy your card work on the table...

 - well, they probably wouldn't like it if you were making any money using their music, but I shouldn't worry otherwise.

I couldn't get the video to work, but thought I'd best make sure you weren't worrying too much about music copyright laws for your videos.

Just to confuse the issue, Beatles songs were owned by Northern Songs which was bought (much to Paul McCartney’s annoyance) by Michael Jackson some years ago. I understand that Mr.J. now has to sell these to raise money to pay legal fees in his recent court case so whoever eventually buys Northern Songs might be upset at unauthorised use but I guess they’ll be a while before doing anything about it!
