I really liked that - well done.

Personally, I couldn't see anything obvious.

That was really good; you've got the placement down well and the twist is good.

The only thing I'd say is that you need to twist faster becasue your fingers are still moving when they come to a stop. The final twist movement was the best.

Well done, :)

All the best,

Excellent job. The twisting moves were about as good as I've ever seen it done.

Two questions: When you perform this effect, do you just jump right into this, or do you perform a few effects with the deck first (to build the impact of the blue to red change)?

Have you ever seen the Brainstorm DVD series by John Guastaferro? He has an excellent routine called Bizarre Prequel. Basically he gave Bizarre Twist a two phase "opening" which works really nicely as a diminishing sequence.

Back to your performance - I can't think of any comments or improvements - your handling was nearly flawless. Keep up the great work!

Really nice Mahoney. I've always liked this effect, but I think people have a tendency to rush through it. Great presentation at just the right tempo.

Nicely done

I think that if you did a flushstration count at the beginning it looks so much better

You did this trick very well

Good work :D

Thats great but isnt it the cros twist as yo do it with one hand

when yo do the g**** (dont want to give anything away) on the last time before you do the colour change square the cars as you pick them u to weave the joker inbetween th jacks. There was a slight hitting element when you sqared the cards.

Thats a minor critisism

Really good

He didn't say this was the Cross Twist.

The Cross Twist is a variation of the Bizare Twist

Thanks for all the comments everyone! :)

to Demitri: I haven't performed it for anyone yet, but yeah I would probably do some other tricks before this one.

to Ace of Kev: "Flushstration count"?

to Pitto: Yeah I noticed I did that also, I'll work on that. Well it's "The Bizarre Twist" routine, but the "Cros Twist" is just a move, so I just used the "Bizarre Twist" name. A little off topic here but in your Art of Astonishment Book 1 does the "Cros Twist" give page 197 in the index? Because it's actually on page 201... hmmmm.

Thanks for the comments and advice guys

I saw a really flourishy version of the flustration count a couple of days ago on Chris Randall's "Sweet" DVD. It looks really cool and it's not as hard as it looks. It's called the Orion Count. Anyone familiar with it? I really like it.

Emm, I don't know if this is the same one, but Oz Pearlman does a cool one in the Stand up monte demo, although the trick is soooo obvious, but anyway

I think it might be the same one

I might be wrong - but I think the Orion Count was created by Reed McClintock. It's a nice variation of the Flushtration concept, though I personally find it a bit odd. It's not too difficult, but requires some smooth handling.

My only problem with it, is it seems like an unnatural way to display cards.
