Hey now!
I'm sort of an old timer.
I Learned magic in the early 70's in LA (I use to hang around at Joe Berg's whenever I could). I had a mentor early on named Larry Parsons who passed away in about 1975. Through him I was lucky enough to see some of the greats like Albert Goshman and Dai Vernon live at the "Castle".
In the 80's I moved away from magic, and became a pretty decent juggler (7 balls/5 pins) I still used a little magic at times to spice up the juggling. I did that until about '90. I use to do some of the same renaissance festivals as Penn & Teller (before they hit the big time).
One of my main interests at the moment are card flourishes...sort of like juggling with cards.
Now I work for a living in a high end woodworking shop, I'd be interested in talking with other woodworkers/illusion builders. I'm thinking of doing a little of that type of thing soon!
I have a seven year old son that wants to learn everything about magic.
So I'm re-learning stuff and having a great time teaching him.
This looks like a nice place.

See ya on the board.

Hi and welcome to TM

QUESTION:
If we can sue McDonalds for making us fat and cigarette companies for giving us cancer; why can't we sue Smirnoff for all the ugly gits we've sh*gged ??

It's not really an optical illusion - it just looks like one!

I love it when someone with some real life experience signs up. Experience is something that can't be trained. I look forward to reading your posts, and picking your brains, if I may.

Metaphorically, of course - I'm not actually a qualified surgeon...

Thanks to all of you fine folks!
I'll try to be an active participlanet. :-)
I work during the day so I may disappear at times. (somehow appropriate I suppose).
