Check out the demo video here:

Anyone purchased this effect? I think it looks amazingly clean.

havent bought it BUT i can work out a method for doing it (probably not the method used in the demo but mine wont cost £45!)

Computer games don't affect kids; I mean if Pac-Man affected us as kids, we'd all be running around in darkened rooms, munching magic pills and listening to repetitive electronic music. - Kristian Wilson, Nintendo, Inc, 1989..

Yes. I have an opinion!

This effect is actually very simple. The method used isn't new, in fact, there's been a discussion on how this can be achieved only recently.

Granted: it's a very clever usage of the principle involved, but it certainly isn't worth over £40 imho.

However, I guess that if you've no idea of how it's achieved, £40+ is a fair price for a very visual miracle!

What IS new is the cleanup. Very nice. It's the same method you can use to move a coin through window/pint glass/etc.

Hi guys...I'm thinking of buying this....I'm not fishing for secret but would like to know if the golden ring on his hand (video) has something to do with it (will not buy it if the ring is important as I don't like golden rings)...you can also PM ofcourse....

i have purchased this and overall im pleased, very nice. Others may have thier own versions of this trick but i think the original is very clean and although expenisve, very nicely made. This is a great effect and use it all the time. The gimmick is NOT the actual ring however you will need to wear a ring during the performance. Hope this has helped :D

Surely this could be achieved very easily with a chop cup load type move?

WHat is going on with the pyschic crayons underneath? This was one of the first tricks I ever I learnt and it certainly isn't worth £24.

Do you feel like one can purchase and create the gimmicks used for less than this price? I've seen the equipment required to create these gimmicks selling for over $90 here in the US. This whole kit sells for less than $60 here.

The technique may be relatively standard but don't you feel that it is nice to have all the equimpent ready-made?

Actually, I take that back. I am looking for the basic materials in non-magic shops and seeing how inexpensive it really would be to but this together.

I guess what you are really paying for is an explaination of the trick and the new technique. In this case I do not think it is worth the price. It seems that this is so high priced because it has been made popular by televised magicians. That's good advertising!

If you don't mind putting in the time and effort to put it together yourself you can acheive this effect and save some money.

Cyrill's Version

Postby bmagic » Feb 28th, '06, 23:12

Cyril, the highly popular Japanese magician performs a similar effect using a different technique. This technique is certainly less obvious than Cesaral's and I would rather use this than melting point.

Knowing how melting point works only helps so much here and I think if you know how melting point is done you will be impressed by this method.

The video is floating around in many places, but here is a link to one:
