I only got it yesterday and praticed alot didnt realise how effective it was until a guy on my college bus asked me what i was doing throwing a ring and catching it on the tip of my finger  ! so i showed him the effect and his eyes literally poped out and he was blown away when i showed him the ring wasnt gimmicked!

I think it looks pretty nice, only 1 thing, you keep the ring covered too long with your other hand. This takes away the effect a little.

Since you just started with it, it looks quite nice! :)
Keep it up!

Well done. Just one thing, keep the tip of your little finger in full view the whole time. As you move your right hand into position, do the 'work' then, don't put your right hand in front, and then move it up and cover your little finger, it makes the 'move' more obvious. Well done though.

It's ok. You need to show the top of both fingers clearly though. You completely cover up your little finger when you do it which takes an awful lot off the effect. Also that "up and down" movement you do at the start does not look natural at all - you should make this move as you come to grab the ring so that it's all one movement. I'm not trying to be nasty, just take into account what I've said and try it again. It will look much better

For the record I don't have this effect although I am confident that I know it's workings.

Here's my mercuring. It just takes practice, and then you can leave the tip of your small finger exposed.

good points in both vids and bad too.

tiggy the first stage pinky is great dfitz yours tells to much.

both after the ring pull off shouldn't you need the same effort to push the ring through the little finger. :?:

dfitz your ending showing the ring is great amasing what a little rotation can do for a trick.

combine the two vids and you have a convincing illusion.

Now I see. That's a fair enough point, but I always think it's obvious when you know what's going on. Thanks for the criticism anyway, your point has been noted. Do you think I should do the load a bit slower?
BTW, filesharing is open forum.

as its open forum i'll try to explain as best as i can do the load at the very tip and let it fall into place rather than place it all the way down.
also if you start the load with your fingers almost vertical and angle them down as you grab the ring.
remember your grabbing the ring and pulling it through your finger and pulling it onto your pinky through the joint, thats the mind set you need to have.

the second point i made is as stated your pulling the ring through two joints so your action needs to show both the pull off and the pull on to the pinky or both of them need to melt through as you like but the action needs to be the same.
