is it possible to use this gimmick to do other things besides switch fingers cuz i read about someone throwing it and catching it on the tip of his/her finger.

I definitely think it's worth it. You can do both of those things, and make it penetrate the spectators finger. It's brilliant.

This is a review request, and therefore has been moved into the Review Request area of the forum.

As for the effect, it's fantastic, if you're:

a) adept at sleight of hand
b) patient
c) confident

It's certainly not a self working effect, but can be quite fascinating to watch from a spectator's point of view.

As for the 'other effects'—this is really a one trick pony, however, the 'catch' you refer to is a bonus part to the routine—useable as a prelude.
