yeah nicely done. your righ, the spin change is difficult to perform correctly but you seem to have it down. Now the only improvement you need to make is just make it a little more faster or fluent so that it becomes even harder for the spectator to catch the double. Well done :D

if u look at it the camera angle was a bit wrong because it was slightly underneath but ive also added a new link another card change card change and its a lot less detectable!

Yeah that was very good. I've never seen the spin change before and I couldn't see how you did it. I had to watch it again so it must work!

That was OK but a couple of tips.

You really need to work on it to get it much faster. If you see a video of someone doing it at full speed the whole thing takes maybe one second. It should be spin, spin, change - that's it. At the speed you're doing it the finger movement does seem relatively obvious.

Try to get the angles right for this - I think you should be slightly below the spectator's eye level (say chest height) that will cover the change.

Um, that's about it.

Very nice. The spin change looks good wouldn't worry about the speed would just concentrate on making it look fluid so that the spin motion is the same speed on both passes, other than that very nice. Also your card change is good to, the only thing i would work on with that is making sure the card aint sticking out when you pull away. Good work though :D

I saw the change the second time I watched, because I was paying more attention. The first time I watched though I didn't see it cos I didnt know what to look for. Remember, the layman doesn't know whats going to happen either, so from that respect it was very good!

It's always going to be angley, and I agree with the other posts that it would look better a little more smoothly done. A lot better than I could attempt though!!

I don't know exact lingo here but I think i can see a double. Plus your deck isn't squared at the end which could be revealing but it was blown out.
The spinning one I watched 10x and still have no clue. nice preformance. I think the fact that you go slowly makes it better.

Spin Change

Postby abn801 » Feb 27th, '06, 06:24

Hello, I am new to this site, but I am not new to magic. First off, very good spin change. I am impressed. I have done the spin change, or the other version, Betram change. Like everything it takes practice. I beleive you have gotten it down, but watch your angles. That is the main key to the trick. It is great for video because you can chose the perfect angle, but it is much harder to do in front of a person. Great work though!

Sincerily,

Your spin change is great. No comment. But the "Another Card change" i think was done a little bit too slow. There is a huge flash when you did the actual change. Try and do it faster
