I was just really annoyed. And my mates brother is a bit of a git anyway. So it was a good excuse to shout at him a bit.

And I have a way with words... they sort of roll off my tongue and I don't tend to think about what I'm saying until AFTER I've said it. Makes things I say generally rather blunt and to the point

And I'm reminding you in advance to not get on my bad side lol

...you could turn the tables completely and say -
"Ooh it's you! i didn't realise at first...i do apologise...EVERYONE - this guy here is a fantastic magician (then hand him the pack of cards) go on, please...his magic is infinately superior to anything i could do..." then sit down at the table or wherever and watch him stutter and go red...

might not work at a paying gig though...

you could prepare a blank-faced card with some text and force it on them at some point...

"dear sir/madam/chav,

please stop acting like a chimp and grabbing at anything bright and shiny, you're embarrasing yourself...
