Here goes Pitto with another TT question

Postby Pitto » Mar 2nd, '06, 23:14

Im sorry to those of you who will think this is a stupid question but:

I have a plastic vernet TT which I can mould to fit my thumb so that it si tight just above the knuckle as was reccomended here.

However, The bottom of the TT won't stay circular if i try and makin it tighter does that matter.

If so, what advice can you give.

Cheers,

Chris Pitt (AKA Pitto)

Greets

Now I could be wrong as I do not use a TT that often but when I do I want it loose so I can load it with easy and switch it from hand to hand.

I'm not sure what the question is but if the TT is the wrong shape for you then try holding it in very hot water until it softens, quickly put it in place and then plunge your hand into cold water to preserve the new shape and avoid scalding yourself. Once moulded at the factory these things tend to stay that shape so your changes might only last a little while but its worth trying. Another tip if you get an air lock effect which stops the TT going on properly or it makes a noise on removal, try pushing a needle through it just under the nail where it won't be seen. The TT is then not much good for liquids but still OK for other loads etc.
