Red decks blue decks

Do any of you really switch btwn Red decks / blue decks during a performance? I always thot keeping the image of 'same deck' -> not accused of stacked decks.

Apart from black etc impact decks, or 2 deck tricks, why would one use multiple decks??

If I switch decks during a performance, I always keep the backs the same color, for the very purpose you mentioned.

Generally, I'll stick to one color at a time - but I switch back and forth on a regular basis.

Well if you do have a need to switch decks then you can just try to come up with a reason. For instance if you're working with a blue deck and have already switched subtley a few times for gmmicked blue decks you have and need to get out a red deck so you can do some more switching between your red gimmicked decks (an unlikely scenario but it depends on how many gimmicked decks you like to use), ten here's an excuse you can use: Pull out your red deck under the cover of it being an older deck therefore you wish to use it for a signed card trick. You don't wanna ruin your new blue deck that you opened yesterday. Which gives you a reason to put the blue deck away. Then you can carry on with whatever you like involving red decks and red deck switches.

Another suggestion someone made on here a while ago is to do a routine with two decks. Then just use the other one when you've finished. Any kind of two deck "Do As I Do" routine is perfect. My favourite two deck routine at the moment is David Regal's "Isolated Force". Fantastic trick.

I'd recommend that you don't switch decks from blue to red or vice versa in a visible way.

Take a break of about 15 minutes after performing with your blue deck and then come back with a new deck and some red deck tricks. Obvioulsy any gimmicked decks that you're using will then fit in without suspicion (hopefully).

You need to plan and coreograph your performances to ensure that it flows and sudden deck changes to fit in a different effect don't flow in my opinion. They just make everything look suspicious.

obviously you could not switch to a different colour back deck without arising suspicion. Although you gotta do what you gotta do!
