Yeah. so why press the card right on the camera. And work on the around the arm. Practice the single arm ring. And you can always do the around the body whenever you want in a routine using the same gimmick.

True.

IMO, it wasn't that well performed. You need to relax more. You're concentrating too much on spinning the card rather than making it look natural. You spin the card way too hard causing it to bounce back making it obvious. Also, you should use one hand to spin the card IMO.

well, now I know the material to use and your handling has illustrated how to make the illusion work, so you've saved me the price of buying it: I appreciate that, maybe you should put a full-length DVD together for the other tricks that you know, I'd certainly download it. Could you do the coin through soda next, please?

I realise that your comment was meant in good faith, and I accept it as such.

I really have no problem with exposure, to be honest. If someone has come this far to this site then why not tell them how to do tricks like this? It'll certainly save us all a whole packet of cash. Just the same as reading a library book. I'd love to be able to go to a free web site and download explicit instructions on the DL and the Elmsley count (why on Earth can I not get the instructions for this for free), use of stock items such as the TT, magi's wax and thread and all the other stock items that are available and well known.

The only justification that I can personally subscribe to is that by _not_ disclosing at all we raise the barrier to entry which limits the distribution .... la la la this is beginning to sound like deja vu and I'm getting another headache, I think I need to lie down ...

It would be perfectly acceptable if you were to get worked up over exposure - unfortunately I don't see how the video is exposure.

Sure, he says that he uses IT for the trick. If you are advanced enough to know what IT is then you must know how the trick works. I don't see how the handling gave it away either.

no offence but i dont think that was perfromed very good. Ive seen other magicians do this trick stunningly but that was poor. I think the main problem was that it lasted about 6.7 seconds ( slightly exagerated :D ) and it really looked obvious. Try lengthening your performance, learn how to spin the card properly one handedly and link stunts together to eliminate any thoughts hook ups.
