Woodin's Click Pass

Postby Downhill_ben » Mar 4th, '06, 23:21

Hiya guys. Im trying to learn the click pass at the moment. For those of you who aren't sure on what it is here is my explaination:
After performing a Retention Vanish with one coin plamed, you pretend to place another coin in to your hand. Again, you perform a retention vanish but this time as you move to put the coin in to your hand, you click the plamed coin against the second coin making it sound as if you have now placed both coin in to your "other hand".

I am trying to teach myself the move, and it isnt really working, i can plam coins and do retention vanishes well. Sometimes very well. Basically all i am asking is for a few pointers on how to perform this properly.
Or can anybody point me on to a few sources that would epxlain the slieght in detail.

Becasue of exposure, it is probably best you PM me if you are going to explain the sleight yourself.

Thanks for the help. Good ol' fellow magicians.

Hi,
I'm assuming you are learning from Bobo (if not, stop now and go spend £5 on it, you'll never regret it)
The click pass is simply as you describe, palming one coin onto another already in the palm. If you are getting busted then maybe it's because you aren't using any misdirection (the books often don't mention this point).
If you want people to stare at the move, then they will realise that it is discrepant (the click comes before the toss of the coin). If however you ask them a question as it happens, it should pass them by.

By the way, what are you using it for?

Cheers
