I've only heard good things about it. It's based on an old con as opposed to a magic trick.
I see it more useful as a skill used to build a magic effect rather than an out and out magic effect in it's own right. You don't want to come across as being mr clever-clever.
Having said that, yes, the word is that it does everything as described.
I believe it slightly easier with large coins, so in the UK your best bet would be a £2, but probably best just to use a half dollar.
Complex. Supposedly not, but it does require some practice - probably quite a lot, but I think you will see some results immediately.
£10 sounds expensive though, it sells in the US for $10
