Hi, I'm wondering are there any magic sites which teach you convincing magic tricks without you having to pay or having to give away your address?

Magic is not open source, you know. Quite the opposite, in fact.

well i found a site that did give away magic secerts and if i signed up i got a free house and that was linked to the ferraris site. i really think u should get your facts streight before posting thing like that ohh and just as a note the ferrari one was linked to 100 free shares in microsoft jsut so were clear

Oh yeah? Well my free Ferrari site gives away racehorses as well and guarenteess that they will be winners. Top that boyo! (Oh and a version of the Ambitious Card with every Ferrari of course)

The tricks on those sites are mostly just easy tricks anybody can do, for a bit more professional (looking) magic you should and have to pay.

You won't be surprised to hear that you're only one of several hundred visitors who have asked the same question! the answer is very simple; yes there are sites which give secrets away and others which do the same under the guise of 'teaching'. From our studies of many of these sites, they're just exposing secrets which don't belong to them and therefore are helping to steal someone else's intellectual property. For that reason even if we had details of such sites to hand, we wouldn't pass them on or leave any responses visible which gave such information. Something for nothing sounds good until it's your something which is being stolen and then it's a very different story.

Instead of looking for freebies, why not invest a very small amount of money in a basic magic book, video, DVD ect? If you use the search function on TM you’ll find many suggestions of where to start and what to buy - it won’t cost a fortune but it will be priceless in terms of working towards learning something valuable.

OOOOR you could take that small investment, put it in a bank account, wait around about hmmmm 200 years at a typical APR of 2.5% and buy the ferrari....
