Meep! I'm new

Postby EckoZero » Mar 23rd, '06, 03:01

Hi all. My name is Paul and I'm an 18 year old bloke from Soham, Cambridgeshire. I've no doubt that you'll have heard of Soham (damn I NEVER would have said that 3 years ago...) because its the place where Holly and Jessica lived and were murdered by the caretaker of my school :(

Anyways! Less depressing stuff is the fact that I'm at CRC (actually that might be more depressing!) trying to learn how to be an electrician.

Been doing magic for about 2 months now I guess so I'm still new. Obviously sometimes I buy bad tricks because they look really impressive but with having no experience I can't begin to work out how these things work. Although I have started figuring out tricks before I buy them now :D Saves me a lot of money on tricks that just a few weeks ago I thought "OMG!!!" to.

Mostly into cards, but recently have taken up a bit of coin magic, a linking ring routine and a few minor feats of escapology. (Having someone confirm that my hands are well bound by a padlocked chain only for it to actually fall off my hands about 5 seconds later is rather amusing).

Tried a bit of mentalism as well, although I don't think I'm a serious enough guy to do stuff like that. When people want to see my tricks they like to laugh whilst they see them. Currently not very well brushed up on magic abbreviations either! (I have no idea what a TT or IT is lol). Anyways, been stalking you lovely lot since I started magic tricks, and figured that you all seem genuinely nice people, I like the fact you all *deliberately* dont expose tricks (a few other forums I stalked didn't mind giving a few rather major details of a trick away =/) so I thought I'd join you all.

Anyways, I've doubtlessly talked faaaaaaar too much about myself, but if any of you would like to introduce yourselfs to me that would be cool :)

Oh. And in case you're wondering, my signature was my brothers guess as to how a signed coin visibly disappeared from his hand then turned up in my jeans. A rather amusing day :D

Oh. If you haven't figured, I talk waaaaaaaaay too much. So I shall say bye and look forward to hearing back from people!

Bye!

You wont find much better anywhere and it's nothing - a rigmarole with a few bits of paper and lots of spiel. That is Mentalism

Hi and welcome to TM

Nice intro btw

QUESTION:
If we can sue McDonalds for making us fat and cigarette companies for giving us cancer; why can't we sue Smirnoff for all the ugly gits we've sh*gged ??

Welcome to TM!

I feel your pain about buying tricks that look cool but turn out to be terrible (I still chastise myself from time to time for purchasing Mexican Revolution).

Anyway, hope you have fun here. Have a look around and you'll find plenty of cool things to spend your money on!
