Do you have to be a Jedi Matser to do this or will 'Padawan' status do>?

Does this trick also use the 'dark side' of the force?

It's quite simple, and they are regular matches.

When Yoda was teaching me magic, I couldn't understand a word he said. He's lived for over 500 years and he still can't speak proper English... That's when I quit learning magic from him and decided to moved onto DVDs! lol.

Anyways... Personally, I thought the trick was quite naff. It does look like one of those tiny tricks that uncle's do to their nephews or whatever.

And arkos, please change your avatar. Clowns scare me lol.

If you're calling us Brits "poms" then I guess you must be Australian.
(Sorry if that's a weel known fact and I've missed it....) but naff means "pretty dud" errr "nothing special" and "not great" as well as sometimes being a polite way of saying "that sucks".

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news! :(

You wont find much better anywhere and it's nothing - a rigmarole with a few bits of paper and lots of spiel. That is Mentalism

I didn't not enjoy the trick. I just didn't find it too special. I think it's just because it's one of those extremely short tricks. Maybe you could find other match tricks to link with it to create a routine. I just don't like one single effect made as a video. Combine other effects like err... I think it's called Pyro Penetration, where the matches penetrate each other?

Yeah im aussie :) Dont brits like being called poms? Sorry if i offended anyone, i have alot of brit friends online and i refer to them as pommys but they dont mind.

btw its no bad news, if 1 person finds it 'naff' then thats ok, everyones entitled to there own opinion, and certain people only like certain tricks, the majority of people here enjoyed it so thats the main thing!

And tomo i cant find a link to your thread but i have seen it before, i remember we had a chat about it when i 1st joined up here, not bad for a 'naff' trick thoe eh ;)

We don't mind being called Poms really lol.
We're so used to be calling thigns by other countries we don't pay much attention anymore :D

To Americans we're "limeys", to the french we're "roast beefs" to the EU we're "slaves" :D

Glad to hear it wasn't bad news for you.
You're right... that people are allowed their own opinion.
I personally liked it.
My dad used to do it sometimes cos I didn't get to see him much when I was a kid so it kinda warms me up a bit to see it still done.

Unfortunately he can't remember how it's done so I guess I can't learnt it just yet! lol

Yeah i dont think the aussies mean the word 'poms' in a bad way. And when you think about it most Australians and Americans and many other countries came from england many generations ago, So i probably have some pom in me too :D And it is a really simple trick, one ya uncle or whatever might do, but for such a simple trick it does have a powerful effect on not only kids but adults too, to a magician who probably knows the secret (yeah big deal) it might be 'naff' But im glad most people have enjoyed it, and thats cool it hit a warm spot with you as you said, and if you do want to learn the way its done i would be happy to show you for sentimental purposes! Just drop me a PM.
