Aldo Colombini is on a tour again, and tonight he visited the Magic Circle of Oslo, Norway.
First of all, I have to admit, I have never seen much work by Aldo, but that will now change. He's a marvellous magician, as well as a person. And what I learned tonight, besides alot of cool new tricks, was this:
"Focus on the effect, not your methods. The audience will never think of, or know all the methods you use to archieve your effect. If the effect is good, magic is good." (freely translated)
He presented some great stuff from his "True magic" series, and yes, it's really true magic. And best of all, - no fancy sleights required. You would believe some of the effects required weeks of practice, but no, let's make it a minute.
Thanks alot Aldo, I had a great experience !
