Just seen that this has been released, although I'm pretty spent out (on a load of his older tricks believe it or not) I dearly love Sankey stuff and wondered if anyone has this yet or has seen it performed?

Oh! That's what its about. Thanks for the link, its actually not as good as it sounded in the blog and the working's a bit obvious I think (I know what I'd want to examine if I were the spectator)...

Watched the video clip not impressed at all!

The method is so obvious.

I will steer clear of this one.

Cheers

this absolutely cracks me up, we see things as magicians, i showed the demo to my wife and she was floored, i for one will be purchasing this and will be stunning them.

Glad you all don't like it, that way there will be less people performing this miracle

I wouldn't dismiss this effect, just yet. If you're referring to the plastic sleeve, I've heard that Sankey covered that possibility. That too, is supposedly examinable.

As for the method being obvious - well congratulations! Whoopy-di-doo - you all figured it out! Give yourself a pat on the back for being so smart!

Done, yet? Great. Big deal. Just because you know how it's done - doesn't mean a spectator would.

Whoa calm down Demitri, no need to get all gnarley... I am entitled to my opinion as are you.
Just saying it wasn't for me and I noticed the sleight straight away (after all I am technically a spectator), personally I can think lots of presentations I'd rather buy for the cash (Ghost gaff deck for one), but if it floats your boat then great, buy it and be thankful that you've found an effect that suits your style. :)

You cannot class your self anywhere near to what a normal spectator would be.

How many times have you done a DL, and the spec goes you just lifted two cards? When a new effect comes out, don't watch the demo video first, read the description of the effect. Then watch the video.

If the description of the effect sounds good, then it is good for a spectator.

Also, try and turn off the sleight-radar when watching new effects.

OK, no I'm not a normal spectator, I am slightly more clued up than that. However, I think if I figure something from a first view then, it really isn't what I want to spend my cash on and that's really all I'm trying to say. I can't just switch my sleightometer off and on (i wish I could), besides if I did that then half the time I would end up buying stuff that wouldn't convince anyone. I prefer to buy stuff that fools me when I first see it, without pretending I'm dumber than I am, that way when I come to perform it I can believe in it and my audience believe it (sometimes).

Obviously there is a lot of passion about this trick out there and alot of you guys really like it, no problem, as I said before whatever works for you... :)

Actually, Flash - I should have clarified myself a bit more, with my comment. The second part was not actually meant for you, but re-reading it, I can see why you think it was.

My only comment towards you was the mention of the sleeve - the other comment was meant for roman.

Sorry for the mix up!

I think the effect is strong for laypeople, not for magicians as we can clearly see what is happening.

We are all entitled to our own opinions, so lets agree to disagree :D
