Melt vs. Revolution

Postby Dominick » Apr 4th, '06, 20:34

Hey guys.

I need your opinion on this. I've been looking more and more into Revolution. Then I see MELT. I look at the two and see that they are similar. I also see that Gone is just a variation of MELT. So I ask you this:
"MELT or Revolution?"

Choose wisely

Thanks,

I would recommend MELT as a great bit of magic to have in your locker. I always carry the necessary bit in my wallet with me so I can perform it any time I want.

Revolution is also pretty Sweet, leaving your hands completely empty. However it does require you to do something a certain way which might not fit into your everyday style. I cant really go into any more detail without giving away secrets. It isn't a problem for some people but others find it stops them from using the effect.

Personally I would recommend both of them. But if you are only willing to buy one I would go for MELT as it does not require the certain style needed for Revolution.

Hope that helped! :?

It did. Thank you very much. I'm now going to make a tally.
MELT
1

Revolution
0

Any other opinions?

I don't have Melt but my friend does but I have revoloution. My friend says that Melt is poor but he said he just can't be bothered to make the gimmick.

Revoloution I think is so simple but great. The only problem is well your style, not magician style, "Style".

So I haven't used revoloution since because well, it's not my style

Well, it all depends on if you want to use gimmicks

Depends on how much it would cost to make this gimmick.

Just bought Revolution. It's wierd. I can't make up my mind about it. When it's done right, it's really nice, but when done wrong, it's completely destroyed. I would like to hear from someone who has (preferrably) both MELT and Revolution.

Thanks,

Revoloution or melt?

Postby Thewayniac » Sep 22nd, '06, 17:41

Hi

I have looked at melt and performed it, i am wondering why anyone would need a gimmick? i never use a gimmick when performing melt. i think revoloution is the better vanish of the two but it needs to be done right. If you want to know how i do my version of melt, pm me. i can send you my video clip.

But with both vanishes leaving you clean, it doesnt really matter.

Hope this helps

i must admit id love to see a version of melt that doesnt require a gimmick

I had a bit of money left this month after my last payday, so decided to go and get both Revolution and GONE. From the demo videos, the GONE technique could easily be used to perform the same effect as in the MELT demo. There is a very small and incredibly easy to make/use gimmick that you use for it.
Revolution is a nice trick, but I do think I prefer GONE. I've already used both, and am definately going to continue to do so. I use GONE on a more regular basis as it is so easy to do and the gimmick is that simple. I usually just leave it in my pocket, and when I'm asking to borrow a coin just fish it out of there.
I think I would vote for MELT too, presuming it uses the same/a similar gimmick to GONE.

Revolution is awesome. When I perform people just laugh, nervously... the concept is so deceivingly simple I cant believe I never figured it out. This is definately my best option to vanish a coin.

Melt... I have tried this, and it does get great reactions.. but not the same kind as the coin is still there it has just melted through your hand..

With revolution.. people pull at you sleeves.. or your arms as I perform this sleevless. pull your shirt.. or just stand there stunned.. there is not describing the effect this has on people.. its gone.. and you cant even bring it back into play.. seriously!! If they ask you to bring it back. you can just tell them its not possible.. you do not have the coin!!

Pure quality..
