Same hear. Both except for one handed ones  I do find it easier with my left though.

Magic is real, just look around you, some of the most amazing things have no reason, no explanation but are very real.

I shuffle my feet often, too. Especially when dancing. That's great ... anyway, thank God that people trust my shuffling of the legs and don't want to cut them.

I thought both hands were required for a basic shuffle!
No wonder the cards just sit there in dealer grip

I can't do one-handed shuffles. They take too much strength to bend the cards.

Does it matter if you can only do the tricks with your best hand ? or would you prefer me to learn tricks with both hands ?

Thanks

There are certain areas where skill with both hands is really recommended. But card magic is not it ...

OFFTOPIC: I am a right handed person, but I always hold the deck in my right hand, doing the dirty work with my left. I couldn't start being normal, I'm well too used to it this way :D.

I am right handed, but do a one handed shuffle better with my left hand. It's rubbish when I try it.

You will find that you will use different hands for different sleights, shuffles etc. If I am reading how to do something in a book and I need to turn the pages, I practice with my left hand. Purists might say that you should be as good with either hand, but at this stage I would get as confident as you can with one hand first.

Only my opinion, you may want to perfect one thing so you can use either hand first.

Good question really. Hope that some of the magicians out there who are good at sleights will give you some better answers.

I can do an overhand shuffle with both hands, but all other shuffles its really difficult, and feel uncomfortable, and i can do the one handed shuffle taught on the jeff mcbride dvd took some time but i can do it  But it ruins the cards.
